Arua Muslim District, located in the West Nile region of Uganda, is an administrative division governed by the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC). As the central and governing body for Muslim affairs in Uganda, UMSC plays a crucial role in overseeing the activities and welfare of the Muslim community in Arua Muslim District.

The district encompasses five local government districts, namely Arua City, Arua District, Maracha District, Terego District, and Madi Okolo District. These districts collectively form Arua Muslim District, where the UMSC holds authority.

Arua Muslim District further consists of fifteen counties, each with its own unique characteristics and demographics. These counties include Arua Central, Ayivu, Vurra, Maracha Town Council, Oleba, Tara, Rigbo, Upper Madi, Terego East, Terego West, Terego North, Terego South, Rehno Camp, Ovujo, and Yivu Counties.
